Where does Romelu Lukaku’s future lie? 1 Romelu Lukaku could snub a potential return to Chelsea in favour of a move to Manchester United, according to reports.Lukaku is desperate for Champions League football and is said to be pushing for an exit from Everton this summer, having so far refused to sign a new deal at Goodison Park. The Belgian striker is wanted by his former club, with the Blues expected to finally lose Diego Costa to China. But, according to The Sun, Lukaku is not so keen on a move back to Stamford Bridge. The 23-year-old is said to be put off a return to London by the playing style of manager Antonio Conte. While favouring the long frontman, Italian Conte demands high-energy from his strikers defensively, wanting them to constantly press their opponents while off the ball. It’s unfamiliar territory to Lukaku, and it is believed his concerns about how he would fit into Chelsea’s team could see him pass up the chance to sign.United boss Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, has made no secret of his admiration for Lukaku, and could pursue a deal in the summer as he looks to revamp his attack at Old Trafford.
