Lamar’s Nzeakor Scores Southland Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

To earn honorable mention, a student-athlete must appear on at least 25 percent of ballots. Nzeakor led the Cardinals (10-5, 2-0 SLC) to their first 2-0 start in Southland play since the 2011-12 season. Lamar picked up an 86-68 win against Houston Baptist (4-11, 0-2 SLC) to open the league season Thursday before earning a road win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3-9, 0-2 SLC), 77-72, on Saturday.
