The hometown team found themselves shorthanded numerous times early in the game. Eventually Chris Blessing of Fresno would make it 1-0.The second period had Fresno scoring an early goal to make it 2-0. This would spark the Rage as they began to establish a solid forecheck and generate scoring chances. Tyson McCallum would get his team on the board off of the rush. It didn’t take long for the Monsters to answer back as Riley Borer made it 3-1. Dawson Creek continued to fight back with Carter Page putting his team within one. The second period came to an end with the score 3-2 for Fresno.The final frame had Dawson Creek continuing to work hard and keep their energy up. Just moments in, Jason Wark would tie the game as a result of a hard working shift from the entire line. The Rage went on to control the period but the skilled Fresno forwards were able to bury 2 more quick goals, including a power play marker.
