Mourinho: Blues and United are underdogs

first_imgChelsea manager Jose Mourinho says the Blues and Manchester United are probably the teams the rest of the Champions League quarter-finalists would like to face when the draw is made today.Chelsea eased to victory over a disappointing Galatasaray in the last 16, while United made hard work of overcoming Olympiakos.Reigning champions Bayern Munich, a trio of Spanish sides in Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, and Paris St-Germain and Borussia Dortmund complete the last eight.“We have the two finalists of last season, the winner and the runner–up, the two Spanish giants,” Mourinho said.“You have Atletico, which is obviously a fantastic team over the last couple of years. And you have Paris St-Germain with everything they present.“Maybe they look at the draw with us and Man United and look at us as the two clubs that they want. Maybe all of them want us because Chelsea is maybe the biggest outsider of the group – maybe with United.”But Mourinho insisted he did not care who the Blues face.“There is nothing to choose at all because all the big teams are there,” he added.“Sometimes you have an outsider in the quarter finals – a team with less experience or less potential. But that is not the case. We are calm because we know what is waiting for us.“The big candidates are there – all the teams are the teams of the moment with history. We have to be happy to be among the best teams.“The most difficult opponents in European football are there.”See also:Chelsea drawn to face Paris St-GermainFollow West London Sport on TwitterFind us on Facebooklast_img read more
