Mr Hannigan assures applicants who are not happy or who may have questions to come to an information day at the Letterkenny and Killybegs campuses this Wednesday, 23rd August from 11am.“I would encourage people who are considering offers, who are still waiting and who are unsure about courses to come along and get additional help. It makes a significant difference to come and see the options that are available,” Mr Hannigan said. The Available Places List on the CAO site will be updated to show the remaining courses with vacant spots, he added. The deadline for acceptance of round one offers is next Monday. Round two offers will be made on Thursday the 31st of August.A rise in points has occurred in the majority of LYIT Level 6 and 7 ordinary bachelor degree/higher certificate courses. Programmes including Dental Nursing, Law, Hospitality & Tourism and Civil Engineering have seen an increase in required points.LYIT President Paul HanniganMr Hannigan said the rise depends on the people who have applied for LYIT courses, and he added that they hope to see an increase in first year students for the 2017/2018 year. “I would pay particular attention to the Hospitality & Tourism and Culinary Arts courses we offer. Given the recent popularity of Donegal and the Wild Atlantic Way there are good opportunities for employment there,” Mr Hannigan said.He encouraged prospective students to use the facilities that are provided for them over the coming weeks and to come along to the information days this Wednesday with any queries.Future LYIT students have much to consider as Round One CAO points are released was last modified: August 21st, 2017 by Rachel McLaughlinShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:CAOeducationLYITlast_img read more
